Veterans

We have a special place in our hearts for those who have given so much of themselves. That is why we ensure that our Veterans Services honour goes above and beyond the call of duty.

We have a very close relationship with our local Veterans Association, the Members of Vietnam Veterans Association, St. Mary’s Outpost Sub-Branch.

Whether a burial or cremation is chosen, the added extras that make up a Veterans Tribute include:

  • Service conducted by a Welfare Officer
  • Members of their local branch in attendance, to show their respect
  • A guard of honour formed at the beginning
  • Poppies are handed out
  • Eulogy includes detailing the time served
  • Family is presented with an Australian Flag
  • “The Ode” is recited
  • Playing of the song called “Can You Hear Australia’s Heroes Marching?”
  • “The Last Post” and “Reveille” is played (for an extra fee, a bugle player can attend)
