Esther Chambers
Aged 94 Years 22.06.1915-10.02.2010
The celebration of Esther’s life took place on Wednesday 17th February, 2010 within the West Chapel of Rookwood Memorial Park. The service was officiated by Celebrant Michelle Latham (JP).
Although a small gathering of Esther’s family and friends attended, the service was as Esther wanted – short, sweet & to the point..
Memories of Esther’s life were spoken by Michelle & also Esther’s granddaughter Alisa..
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful support & love that Mountain View Nursing Home – Penrith gave to Esther – they will be forever grateful..

Funeral Poem
'For this is a journey that we must all take
And each must go alone
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home'

I am Esthers oldest Grandchild. My father Neville was Esther’s first born child and while I didn’t really get to know my grandmother all that well.. I have to acknowledge her in some capacity for giving birth to the child who became the man who became the father of me. My fathers upbringing was far from perfect, it was tough and he had to make his own way during a childhood, devoid of the “normal’ family upbringing that many of us take for granted. But it’s because of this upbringing that we have our values, our outlook, our sensibilities, reality of life and the grabbing of opportunities when they come our way. Esther’s legacy for me is my Dad.. a man who has worked hard all his life and given his own family a life that perhaps he just dreamed about as a boy. The shape of families come in many disguises..none are perfect, but all are acknowledged as relevant. so thanks Grandma Esther.. your contribution to my life is understood and appreciated..
