Brian’s life was celebrated on Tuesday 18th May, 2010 within the North Chapel of Pinegrove Memorial Park, Minchinbury. The service was officiated by Celebrant Michelle Latham.

Family and friends alike came to bid farewell to a man that was friendly, funny, stubborn, loved a drink, an introvert, unassuming & keeping to himself, a loner, loved his work & workmates & was one that was always willing to lend a hand & help the older residents of the Hostel where he spent his last months.

Being a keen Rabbitoh’s supporter, Brian no doubt would have been proud of the game that the boys played last weekend when they thrashed the Tigers, not to mention the ribbon on his casket cover, the logo on the handouts, nor the guernsey worn by Michelle..

Memories of Brian’s life were spoken by his brother Col, whilst his nephew Bradley read a poem. Music truly reflective of Brian was played, with the final song being “Glory, Glory to South Sydney” – a wonderful tribute song to a dedicated supporter..

Forever loved, never forgotten..

Feel no guilt in laughter,
He knows how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile

You cannot grieve forever,
He would not want you to.
He’d hope that you would carry on
The way you always do.

So talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared.
The days you spent together,
All the happiness you shared.

Let the memories surround you,
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture
A time, an hour, a day.

That brings him back as clearly
As though he were still here,
And fills you with the feelings
That he is always near.

For if you keep those memories
You will never be apart
And he will live forever
Locked safe within your heart.
